In New York State’s capital city of Albany, city marketing efforts are being made by targeting heritage tourism. A strong task force has been created that includes the New York State Archives, the New York State Museum, the State University of New York, the Albany Institute of the Arts and the governor’s office. Activities will start in early 2016, and the main focus of the project will be the early Dutch Settlers in what they used to call ‘Beverwijck’.
