The Old Dutch Navy Commissioner’s House in Trincomalee is renovated and will become a naval and maritime museum. It was officially opened on the 3rd of February 2013.

The Sri Lanka - Netherlands Cultural Cooperation programme of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Colombo, Sri Lanka provided the financial assistant. The Ministry of National Heritage, Department of Archaeology Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Navy implemented the project.
