Objectives
Objectives Elaborate a Recuperation and Revitalization Project, Formulate a Use and Management Model and Prepare a Financial Plan for Fort Orange, on the Island of Itamaracá, in the State of Pernambuco, Brazil.

Specific Objectives, pointing out:

• Elaboration of a Recuperation and Revitalization Project for Fort Orange, composed of the following sub-projects:

Ocean Retainment: regeneration of the beach, to compensate coastal imbalance caused by natural erosion or by human intervention and the creation of artificial beaches for leisure purposes, and the protection of the heritage located behind it; Architectural Restoration: the directions are recommended by the 5th SR/IPHAN. This sub-project should be adjusted to the proposed use and should be specified under supervision of the technical staff of the 5th SR, to obtain the status of executive sub-project; Developing Museums: development of the sub-project and planning of the use of the collection, consideration of aspects connected with the valuation of the monument and the historical site, resulting in it being again of importance to national history as a significant complement to touristic and cultural activities; Archaeological: formulation of a brief diagnostic of the current situation of the archaeological collection (technical findings) and establishment of the necessity of executing research (excavation); Use and Management Model of Fort Orange: identification and evaluation of alternative use of Fort Orange, such as a museum, for tourism, leisure and cultural activities; - identification and evaluation of alternative forms of management of the enterprise, with emphasis on the participation of the non-governmental organizations and on auto-sustainability; Elaboration of a Financial Plan: identification and evaluation of funding alternatives to execute the set of engineering projects and the restoration of Fort Orange; indication of the most feasible alternatives to obtain the requested resources for the implementation of the projects, indicating the technical, administrative and legal procedures required to materialize the financial support of public and private entities.
