Royal Perth Hospital Heritage Precinct
As a follow-up to the course ‘Urban Heritage Strategies’ (2014), the National Trust of Australia invited Frank Buchner, urban planner and heritage advisor (Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands), to work on an Integrated Vision and Contextual Study for the adaptive reuse of the Royal Perth Hospital Heritage Precinct in Perth's Central Business District (CBD).
Buchner recently finished his assignment. In his research, he looked at how heritage assets of the Royal Perth Hospital Heritage Precinct might contribute to further development of this part of Perth's CBD as well as how a future adaptive reuse of the heritage precinct could be strengthened by other developments in the area. The report is currently being finalised and will be published shortly.
